Šeštadienį, birželio 16 d., Šilalės stadione karaliavo futbolas. Čia vyko III-iasis Lietuvos mažojo futbolo 7×7 čempionatas, kuriame dalyvavo 14 Lietuvos komandų. Jau antrus metus čempionatą šalyje organizuoja Lietuvos mažojo futbolo asociacija.

Pasveikinti susirinkusiuosius ir palinkėti sėkmės mūsų krašto futbolo klubui „Šilalė-Prolain“ atvyko Šilalės rajono savivaldybės meras Jonas Gudauskas, Administracijos direktorius Raimundas Vaitiekus ir mero patarėja Rima Norvilienė.

Net 11 valandų trukusio III-ojo etapo metu sužaistos 21 varžybos. Šilalės FK „Šilalės-Prolain“ varžovams nepaliko vilties ir įveikė priešininkus iš Panevėžio (6:2), Vilniaus (6:0) ir Jurbarko (3:2). Šiuo metu turnyrinėje lentelėje mūsų miesto futbolo klubas yra lyderiaujanti komanda.
