Prioritetinėse grupėse esantys Šilalės rajono gyventojai, į pagalbą pasitelkiant savivaldybės svetainę, feisbuko paskyrą ir vietinę spaudą, buvo kviečiami susisiekti su savo gydymo įstaiga ir registruotis skiepams nuo COVID-19. Pranešimuose buvo nurodyta, jog kai vakcinos bus gautos, užsiregistravę asmenys bus informuojami dėl tikslaus atvykimo laiko ir vietos. Iki šios dienos pirma vakcinos doze paskiepyti 865 rajono gyventojai, antrąja – 550 gyventojų.
Siekiant išsiaiškinti, kaip vykdomas skiepijimo procesas, šiandien, vasario 24 d., susisiekta su Šilalės pirminės sveikatos priežiūros centro atstovais, kurie nurodė, jog šiandien apskambino 70 gyventojų, įtrauktų į 75–79 metų prioritetinio amžiaus grupes, iš kurių tik 16 sutiko būti paskiepytais. Panaši situacija nuo skiepijimo pradžios išlieka visame rajone.Ypač daug asmenų atsisako skiepytis tam tikra viena vakcina. Kaltinėnų pirminės sveikatos priežiūros centras, kuris taip pat renka 75–79 metų amžiaus asmenų prioriteto sąrašus, šiuo metu turi 44 sutikimus, 18 gyventojų vis dar neapsisprendę dėl skiepų. Kvėdarnoje taip pat dalis gyventojų atsisako skiepytis konkrečia vakcina. Tam daug įtakos turėjo žiniasklaidos priemonėse pasirodžiusi informacija apie galimus šios vakcinos šalutinius poveikius.
Kaip informavo medicinos darbuotojai, skambindami gyventojams jie susiduria su įvairiomis problemomis – vieni gyventojai netinkamai nurodę savo telefono numerius, kiti medicinos darbuotojams negaili nepagrįstos kritikos, susijusios su vakcinavimu.
