Liepos 19 dieną, sekmadienį, Laukuvoje vyko Švč. Mergelės Marijos Škaplierinės atlaidai ir miestelio šventė. Tradiciškai šventė prasidėjo Šv. Mišiomis Laukuvos Šv. Kryžiaus Atradimo bažnyčioje.

Po mišių vyko iškilmingas minėjimas miestelio aikštėje ir, skambant Lietuvos himnui, Laukuvos seniūnijos seniūnas Virgilijus Ačas ir bendruomenės pirmininkė Danutė Norbutienė iškėlė seniūnijos vėliavą.

Susirinkusiuosius sveikino ir gražios šventės linkėjo seniūnas V. Ačas, Šilalės rajono savivaldybės meras Jonas Gudauskas, Šilalės rajono savivaldybės administracijos direktoriaus pavaduotoja Vera Macienė, profesorius Petras Bielskis.

Koncertavo Laukuvos kultūros namų jaunimo kaimo kapela (vadovas Alfredas Šniauka), Ramunė ir Dailė, Egidijus Sipavičius, grupė „4 Roses“.
