Šiandien Šilalėje buvo švenčiama Lietuvos valstybės atkūrimo diena.

Nuo pat ryto Ateitininkai organizavo akciją “Padovanok trispalvę”.

Pakėlus Lietuvos trispalvę surengtas bėgimas “Vėliavos kelias” tiek jauniems, tiek mažiesiems Šilalės rajono gyventojams.

Nuo pat ryto LDK Kęstučio mechanizuotojo pėstininkų bataliono kariai demonstravo ginkluotę ir karinę techniką, bei važinėjo vaikus su šarvuotu transporteriu.

Šilalės kultūros centre surengta iškilminga “Auksinės gilės” įteikimo ceremonija. Šiemet “Auksinės gilės” įteiktos Alfonsui Mauliui (Lietuvos liaudies meistrui, muzikantui ir liaudies instrumentų meistrui,  žemaičių tradicijų puoselėtojui, kurio darbai puošia ne tik Šilalės viešąsias erdves, bet ir garsina rajoną visoje Lietuvoje), Vytenei Muschick (vertėjai, gyvenančiai Vokietijoje, aktyviai prisidedančiai prie Lietuvos rašytinio palikimo sklaidos pasaulyje, už Dalios Grinkevičiūtės knygų vertimą, leidybą ir pristatymą tarptautinėse knygų mugėse ir įvairiuose Vokietijoje vykstančiuose kultūros renginiuose), Astai ir Jonui Vaitkevičiams (daugiavaikės šeimos tėvams, už nepriekaištingos šeimos pavyzdį ugdant vaikus ir tvirtų moralinių bei krikščioniškų vertybių puoselėjimą.)
