Išleista knyga „Vlado Statkevičiaus surinkti Šilalės krašto vietovardžiai“

2019 m. minėjome Vietovardžių metus bei archeologo, etnografo, kraštotyrininko V. Statkevičiaus 20-ąsias mirties metines. Šilalės Vlado Statkevičiaus muziejus 2019 m. Lietuvos kultūros tarybai parengė ir pateikė projektinę paraišką knygos leidybai, kuri gavo finansavimą.

Šioms sukaktims paminėti išleidome leidinį pagal V. Statkevičiaus surinktus kraštotyrinius užrašus.

Šį „Vlado Statkevičiaus surinkti Šilalės krašto vietovardžiai“ leidinį sudaro 3 dalys. Pirmoje dalyje Šilalės rajono vietovardžiai suskirstyti į vandenvardžius, pelkėvardžius, gyvenamųjų vietų vardus, oronimus, drimonimus, pievų vardus, agronimaus balas, kapus ir senkapius).

Antrąją dalį sudaro 8 Šilalės rajono nykstančių kaimų aprašymai. Trečiojoje dalyje aprašomi 13 Šilalės rajone buvę, bet dabar jau išnykę kaimai. Knygoje yra pateiktos V. Statkevičius. Knygą sudaro 104 psl. Leidinio tiražas – 1000 egz.
